Sooooommmmeeedddaaayyy applications will drooppp!!! [Warbly Snow White Voice]

In all seriousness, Applications for Fall 2012 are "supposed" to drop on Monday, January 23rd. That is according to multiple sources and a lot of reading between the lines of the extremely vague and slightly annoying Official Disney College Program Facebook status updates. The excitement is building and I can't wait!! I'm applying Day 1 which everybody and their mother have an opinion about applying day 1 but I don't really care. The sooner I apply the better- for me personally. I want to be able to have flexibility in the day and time I pick to interview and like most job interviews I'm willing to bet that the sooner you interview, the better your chances of getting the happy and less stressed out interviewer... So now my reasoning seems clear, I hope.

Annnnyyywwwaayyy...

As soon as I apply I will be posting a blog on the ever- elusive, nerve- wracking for most, WBI- or WEB BASED INTERVIEW [dooon doonn doooooonnnnn lol]. It's really not that bad. I think it's the timed part that freaks people out the most. The first time I took it back in late 2009*, I had done no research on it, as I had barely heard of the DCP. I aced it. It's easy. Just go for stronger answers like Strongly Agree and Strongly Disagree. You can throw some neutrals in, for humility, but no more than a few. And stay consistent!! They throw some of the questions back at you again- worded differently- to trip up the people who aren't really reading the questions or paying attention. Like a test within a test if you will.
Well that's all for now until sometime during Monday or Maybe Tuesday after class to discuss the new application system and how to stay on top of your game for that dreaded WBI.
* [for the Spring Advantage 2010, and really any Spring Disney program, you apply in the FALL before the program. It works the same way only flipped for FALL program dates, i.e: apply for fall in spring, like I'm doing now]
